Your role will involve serving diverse age groups and caseloads, with exact assignments and details to be shared as school year needs are finalized.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active DOE certificate
- Prior experience teaching or supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in a school setting
- Familiarity with current best practices and technology for DHH instruction
- Ability to collaborate with general and special education teams
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting as part of credentialing requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Adapt curriculum and develop educational materials to meet individual needs
- Coordinate with families, support staff, and related service providers
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Provide consultation and resources to staff regarding DHH supports and inclusion
- Work across multiple school sites, with assignment details finalized closer to the start date
Enjoy a consistent, full-time Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours per week) following the academic calendar, starting August 2026 through May 2027.
