Step into an impactful, fully remote opportunity supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract role offers a district-wide reach, providing specialized instruction to a caseload of 10-15 students ranging from elementary to high school level—all from the convenience of your own workspace through a robust VOCO platform.

You’ll collaborate across school sites virtually, ensuring students receive the individualized support they need to thrive. This is a full-time schedule (7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week) coinciding with the 2026/2027 academic year.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of an active TN TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing) license
  • Experience working in schools; all experience levels are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with technology-based instruction
  • Skilled in tailoring educational content for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ages elementary through high school
  • Commitment to fostering accessibility, inclusion, and student independence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction in a virtual setting, adapting lessons to meet each student’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student progress and appropriate supports
  • Conduct ongoing assessments, monitor student growth, and document educational outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and advocacy for students’ needs
  • Utilize digital tools to engage and support students remotely
