This on-site, full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse K-12 caseload within supportive educational hubs dedicated to deaf and hard of hearing learners. Based in a northern Nashville suburb, you’ll be part of an initiative expanding services for students from pre-K through middle school.
Your expertise will deliver both direct and consultative services, tailored to evolving student needs in a collaborative school environment. As a valued member of a professional team, you’ll help shape individualized strategies and empower students to reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee DOE teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing required
- Experience supporting K-12 students with hearing differences
- Adaptable, collaborative mindset and consultative approach to service delivery
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments
- Ability to meet district credentialing, including updated fingerprinting requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and consultative services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general education and special education staff at DHH hubs and assigned schools
- Contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and educational programming
- Help facilitate communication access and academic participation for students across grade levels
- Support families and staff with resources and strategies
This contract spans the 2026-2027 school year, full-time Monday through Friday, with assignments and caseload varying depending on program needs.
