This position offers 10-15 hours per week, providing specialized educational services and support to deaf and hard of hearing students in a school setting. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Solid understanding of assistive technology and communication supports
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, parents, and staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to deaf/hard of hearing students, both individually and in small groups
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations aligned with student needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers in adapting curriculum and creating inclusive opportunities
  • Conduct ongoing hearing and communication assessments to inform instruction
  • Serve as a resource for school staff and families regarding best practices and communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP/504 meetings as needed
