This rewarding contract opportunity covers a diverse caseload of approximately 34 students across 12 campuses, working with learners from preschool through high school. Full-time hours are available from December 2026 through June 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference throughout the academic year.
As part of this role, you’ll collaborate closely with school staff and families to support student communication, language development, and academic growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing individualized strategies and accommodations to empower each child’s learning journey.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Valid Pennsylvania Deaf and Hard of Hearing K-12 teaching certification (Instructional I or II)
- Experience working with a wide range of ages (PK-12) preferred
- Ability to manage and support a varied student caseload at multiple locations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
- Flexibility to begin in December 2026 and work through June 2027
- Availability for interviews on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and adapting educational materials to meet each student’s unique learning needs
- Providing direct instruction in both individual and group settings
- Consulting and collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Implementing assistive technology and auditory/oral strategies as needed
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining appropriate documentation
