• Valid teaching certification for Deaf / Hard of Hearing (as required by the state)

• Strong understanding of communication modalities such as ASL, cued speech, and auditory/oral approaches
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside families, classroom teachers, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, adapt, and deliver instructional materials tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary for optimal learning and participation

• Collaborate and consult with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure effective classroom integration
• Provide guidance and training on communication supports and accommodations for school teams
