Key Details:
- Full-time role for the 2026-2027 school year (August 4, 2026 start date)
- Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 2:45 PM CST schedule
- High school caseload focused on working one-on-one with a student
- In-person instruction only—no remote or virtual options
What You Bring:
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Previous experience supporting high school-age students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modes commonly used by deaf/hard of hearing students
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation, with excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to individual student needs
What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement customized instructional plans for a high school student who is deaf or hard of hearing
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate inclusive education
- Advocate for student access, accommodations, and achievement within the school setting
