Here’s an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) with a flexible contract role in a school-based setting. This position works with five students in grades K-12, each with unique needs, allowing you to deliver personalized instruction across multiple campuses — all within close proximity to one another. This role offers a manageable caseload and the unique chance to collaborate with diverse education professionals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) endorsement (open to candidates with out-of-state licenses)
  • Experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
  • Ability to travel between school sites (all within minutes of each other)
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to meet varying student needs
  • Comfortable working with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to five DHH students, K-12
  • Collaborate with general education staff and families to ensure student success
  • Travel between several nearby school locations as required by student schedules
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans
  • Use assessments and data to monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed
  • Advocate for student access and accommodations within the school environment
