Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Eden Prairie, Minnesota

This contract opportunity is based onsite near Eden Prairie, MN, where you’ll collaborate closely with students, teachers, and staff to create an inclusive educational setting for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Your expertise will directly impact language accessibility and student success.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), such as RID-NIC or NAD IV/V, OR
• Achieve a score of 4.0 or higher on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) and have passed the EIPA written exam
• Strong command of American Sign Language and familiarity with educational settings
• Experience working with K-12 students preferred
• Professional, collaborative, and adaptable communication skills
• Ability to work on-site full-time; remote/virtual work is not available

Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken and signed content in classroom and school-related activities for K-12 students
• Foster positive communication and understanding between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and their peers, educators, and staff
• Follow ethical and confidentiality standards set for educational interpreters
• Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to support instructional goals and accommodations
• Monitor and adapt interpreting practices to meet the varied needs of individual students

This contract runs through May 28, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek. You'll play an integral role in supporting student achievement within a dynamic K-12 environment.
