Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | El Paso, Texas

Make a meaningful impact on a student’s educational journey by providing specialized support as a virtual Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering targeted instruction to a high school student, connecting your expertise with real student needs—all from the comfort of your home.

In this role, you will work exclusively with one high school student who is deaf or hard of hearing, providing minimal but impactful virtual services throughout the school year. If you are passionate about equitable education and are looking for a flexible, remote position, your skills are needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver virtual instruction and support tailored to a high school student’s unique learning requirements.
• Provide services for approximately 160 minutes over the academic year, broken into 8 sessions of 20 minutes each.
• Develop and implement strategies to foster communication, academic progress, and social engagement for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate and communicate with school staff and families to monitor progress and address any emerging needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and session reports as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active and valid DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) teaching licensure for the state of Tennessee (required).
• Experience teaching K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing, particularly at the high school level.
• Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and technology.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate approach to individualized instruction.
