Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teacher certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) services
  • Experience working with children or adolescents who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
  • Skillful in providing direct and consultative instructional support
  • Adept at collaborating with team members, specialists, and parents
  • Comfortable adapting communication methods for various student needs, including sign language fluency if required by specific student caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to address individual students’ learning goals as outlined in IEPs
  • Adapt curriculum and utilize assistive technology to support access to the general education environment
  • Work collaboratively with general educators, speech-language pathologists, and other service providers to enhance student outcomes
  • Engage in parent and staff meetings, providing recommendations and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to team evaluations and reports
