In this contract position, you’ll collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized educational plans, providing direct instruction and support tailored to each student’s unique communication needs. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or credential as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience working within educational settings preferred
- Thorough knowledge of various communication modalities and auditory/oral instruction methods
- Comfortable adapting curriculum and materials for accessibility
- Strong collaboration skills for teaming with educators, service providers, and families
- Passion for creating inclusive, empowering learning environments
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and case management for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Assess student strengths and educational needs; develop and monitor IEP goals
- Consult with teachers to adapt instructional strategies and classroom accommodations
- Advocate for accessible technologies and resources for students
- Foster positive communication between students, families, and staff
- Track student progress and maintain compliance with documentation

Compensation for this position ranges from $37.71 to $57.71. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
