Make a difference every day by supporting students as an experienced Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in a vital educational setting for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract role is located in a welcoming school community near Endicott, NY. You’ll work alongside dedicated education professionals committed to empowering students with hearing differences and ensuring they receive an inclusive, supportive education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Proven experience or strong training in educational settings for students with hearing loss
  • Proficiency in using assistive technology and implementing accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, driven, and adaptable to diverse student needs
  • Must be able to work onsite throughout the assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing based on individual education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, aides, and families to foster a positive and accessible classroom environment
  • Develop lesson plans, adapt curricula, and implement strategies tailored to student needs
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Advocate for student success through coaching, consultation, and professional development
  • Contribute your expertise to promoting awareness and inclusion within the school community

Compensation for this position ranges from $34.00 to $54.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
