Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM CST
- Full school year (August 4, 2026, start date)
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, particularly at the high school level
- Proficiency in sign language and accessible communication methods
- Strong ability to foster inclusion and advocate for students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent collaboration skills with staff, families, and outside professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, direct instruction to a high school student in accordance with their IEP goals
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes communication and independent learning
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers and support teams to ensure access to the general education curriculum
- Offer guidance and resources to colleagues and families to enhance student success
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to suit the unique needs of the student
