Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification to teach Deaf / Hard of Hearing students (or eligibility for licensure)
• Previous experience teaching or working with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
• Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities used by students
• Collaborative attitude and ability to partner with general educators, specialists, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Adapt curriculum materials and instruction for Deaf / Hard of Hearing learners

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service staff to ensure accessibility and success
• Offer resources and training to colleagues and families on effective strategies and technology use
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional learning
