Qualifications:

  • Valid state teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of instructional techniques for students with hearing impairments
  • Proficiency with assistive listening devices and accessible technologies
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive educational support
  • Assess student progress and update IEPs to reflect growth and changing needs
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusion in the classroom
