Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility)
• Experience or specialized training in working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in educational settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with general education staff and families
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to students with hearing impairments
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to create inclusive learning environments
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and modify instructional approaches as needed
• Advocate for student needs and serve as a resource to staff and families
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development sessions
