Role Highlights:

  • Provide specialized instruction and curriculum modifications to meet the individualized needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective strategies
  • Support IEP development, assessment, and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success
  • Consult with staff and families, offering resources and guidance that best support each student
  • Deliver services across multiple school sites (travel required within district)
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation per school and district guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12) OR
    Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Experience working in schools or with K-12 children preferred

Details:

  • Contract Position
  • Start Date: July 27th, 2026
  • End Date: May 25th, 2027
  • Approx. 20 hours per week (part-time schedule)
  • Service multiple school locations within district
