Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school locations in the Flowery Branch, GA area! In this flexible part-time position, your expertise will make a genuine impact on the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners for the 2026-2027 school year.
Role Highlights:
- Provide specialized instruction and curriculum modifications to meet the individualized needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective strategies
- Support IEP development, assessment, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success
- Consult with staff and families, offering resources and guidance that best support each student
- Deliver services across multiple school sites (travel required within district)
- Maintain thorough records and documentation per school and district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12) OR
Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement - Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Experience working in schools or with K-12 children preferred

- End Date: May 25th, 2027
- Approx. 20 hours per week (part-time schedule)
- Service multiple school locations within district
