A full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is sought for the upcoming school year (August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027) in Fort Benning, GA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic school setting, supporting students with hearing impairments across multiple educational buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards
- Maintain daily logs documenting services and student progress, ensuring accurate and timely records
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Manage caseload effectively across various school locations within the district
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing teaching
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple school assignments and detailed daily documentation
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and educational staff
Location: Fort Benning area, Georgia
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Period: New school year 2026–2027
