Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for the upcoming academic year. This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) extends from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, with the possibility of additional planning days. You’ll provide both direct instruction and consultative services, making a vital difference across multiple school sites within the district.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia Educator Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education required.
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies tailored for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with willingness to maintain detailed daily service logs as part of district procedural requirements.
  • Effective time management and communication abilities to handle a caseload that may span several buildings.
  • Collaborative mindset—openness to working with general education teachers, specialists, and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, tailoring methods to individual needs.
  • Provide consultation and resources to school staff and families to promote student success and inclusion.
  • Complete accurate, compliant daily logs and documentation as required by district policy.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and monitoring of student plans.
  • Support the school’s initiatives and help foster an inclusive environment for all students.
