Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (as required by the state)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to cultural, linguistic, and learning diversity in the classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across a variety of grade levels
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs and learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student integration and progress
• Utilize assistive technology and support services to enhance learning accessibility
• Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and progress reporting
• Offer guidance, resources, and advocacy to students and their families
