Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state-specific requirements may apply)
• Proficient in various communication modes such as ASL, cued speech, and/or auditory-oral approaches
• Previous experience supporting students with hearing impairments in educational settings
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general educators, administrators, and families
• Passion for advocacy, accessibility, and individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in accordance with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to address individual student needs
• Offer consultative support and training to teachers and staff regarding best practices and accommodations
• Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school teams to ensure educational success
• Utilize technology, assistive devices, or alternative communication tools as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for each student
