Teacher of the Deaf in Gainesville, GA

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12), or
• Possess a Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) certification with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
• Previous experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a school setting is highly valued
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with hearing impairments, adapting curriculum to meet their unique needs
• Utilize assistive technology and visual aids to enhance classroom access and engagement
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreters, audiologists, and family members to develop and implement IEPs
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Participate actively in school meetings, professional development, and student support activities
