This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across multiple schools within a thriving district, starting July 27th, 2026 and concluding May 25th, 2027. Shape inclusive educational experiences with a flexible, part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12), or Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) paired with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
- Deep understanding of the unique needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Proficient in differentiating instruction and adapting curriculum
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Committed to fostering positive student outcomes through evidence-based teaching strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing loss across various school settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
- Support students in both academic achievement and social-emotional growth
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
- Facilitate access to curricular content through the use of assistive technology and modifications as needed
- Offer guidance and resources to staff and families in support of an inclusive educational experience
