Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12), or
- Possess a Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) certification with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
- Previous experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with hearing impairments, adapting curriculum to meet their unique needs
- Utilize assistive technology and visual aids to enhance classroom access and engagement
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, interpreters, audiologists, and family members to develop and implement IEPs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development, and student support activities
