In this position, you will be working with a very small caseload: just four students located at different campuses—three in Fort Worth and one in Dallas. The schedule offers approximately 3 hours per week, making it an excellent fit for someone seeking supplementary experience or a role with limited hours. Your expertise will ensure that each student receives tailored instructional strategies and the communication access they need to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility to obtain it
- Experience working with students with hearing loss in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of deaf education best practices and accessibility tools
- Flexibility to travel between multiple campus locations as needed
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Core responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support for deaf/hard of hearing students
- Assess student needs and develop individualized education strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff on modifications and accommodations
- Serve as a resource for families, staff, and students regarding deaf/hard of hearing education
- Travel to assigned campus locations in Fort Worth and Dallas as scheduled
