Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Prior experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school setting
- Strong understanding of deaf culture, communication modalities (including ASL), and individualized educational strategies
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support services to four students as indicated in their IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to facilitate meaningful access to the curriculum
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and adaptive technologies to address individual communication and learning needs
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as needed to instructional plans
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and families within the educational setting
