Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility to obtain one

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans, materials, and assessments to meet individualized learning goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate student inclusion
  • Monitor and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings and evaluations
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and communication development
  • Offer resources and strategies to families and staff
