This full-time, onsite contract opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, through May 20, 2027, providing vital services to empower student success.

You'll foster communication, language development, and academic achievement for diverse learners, working closely with students, faculty, and families. The exact caseload will be shared closer to the start date, ensuring you have the details needed to prepare effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Proficient understanding of strategies and accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for working onsite in a school community

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with hearing loss, in accordance with their IEPs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-advocacy and independence
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications
  • Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise in hearing assistive technology and classroom accessibility
