Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility in Indiana)
• Background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with assistive technology and strategies for auditory/oral and/or total communication approaches is highly valued
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for students across age groups and ability ranges

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in one-on-one and group settings
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to modify curriculum and classroom environments
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development, progress monitoring, and annual reviews
• Provide guidance to staff and parents on hearing loss, communication strategies, and advocacy
• Foster a positive, accessible, and supportive atmosphere for students and contribute to school-wide inclusion initiatives
