This full-time, contract position is itinerant, serving K-12 learners across different schools, with a team that values innovation and teamwork.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education
  • Previous experience in a K-12 environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of current best practices for supporting DHH students
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and additional communication methods
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Collaborative attitude, willing to work alongside educators, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with hearing loss across a range of grade levels
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Travel within the district as needed to serve students at multiple sites
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families on DHH best practices
  • Foster a positive, inclusive educational environment
