Make an impact with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a supportive school environment near Haverhill, MA. This part-time contract position is designed for a passionate Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing looking to help learners from PreK through age 22.

As a valued educator, you'll play a crucial role in fostering communication, language development, and academic progress within an inclusive educational setting. Your expertise will be essential in designing tailored instructional strategies and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification
  • Experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably across a wide age range (PreK–22)
  • Strong understanding of deaf education methodologies and assistive technology
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt curriculum to individual student needs

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, in accordance with IEP goals
  • Supporting students in both individual and small group settings
  • Working closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families to foster student success
  • Developing and implementing instructional materials that support diverse learning styles and communication needs
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records

Position Details:

  • Part-time: 16–18 hours per week
  • Serving students from PreK through age 22
  • Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year
  • W-2 hourly contracted employment
