Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a school-based contract role. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California credential for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Proven experience working with school-aged children who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with school staff and families
  • Commitment to onsite support (virtual services not accepted)
  • Flexible, positive, and proactive attitude
  • Availability to commit to 2 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Employ a variety of teaching techniques and assistive technologies
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure integrated support for students
