Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Hixson, TN

Take the next step in your career as an educator for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in the Chattanooga area. This full-time contract position begins August 5, 2026, and continues through May 19, 2027, offering a dynamic opportunity to support students across multiple schools as part of a dedicated educational team.

You’ll work 35 hours per week, making meaningful connections and providing direct instruction and support to students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The specific caseload and ages will be discussed once district planning is finalized for the academic year, ensuring assignments best fit your skills and interests.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current and active DOE teaching certification
• Specialized experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting as part of credentialing
• Adaptability to serve at varying school sites based on district needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills for student achievement
