Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Hixson, Tennessee

Support students in their educational journey as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing within a school setting near Hixson, TN. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state-specific or eligible for reciprocity)
• Proven experience in instructional strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, including language development and assistive technology
• Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for promoting student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support aligned with students’ IEPs
• Assess student progress, adapting approaches to facilitate learning and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and service providers
• Consult with families regarding progress, strategies, and accommodations
