Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state-specific or eligible for reciprocity)
- Proven experience in instructional strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, including language development and assistive technology
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for promoting student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support aligned with students’ IEPs
- Assess student progress, adapting approaches to facilitate learning and growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and service providers
- Consult with families regarding progress, strategies, and accommodations
- Advocate for an inclusive and accessible learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities
