Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in a school environment
  • Strong knowledge of current educational strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods used by D/HH students
  • Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet students’ diverse needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an accessible, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Provide direct instruction, support, and advocacy for students across various grade levels

  • Monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies as needed
