Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing, with current state credentials
  • Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an educational or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology for hearing impairments
  • Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to 4 students with hearing impairments, tailored to individual educational plans
  • Consult and collaborate with school personnel to ensure accessibility and learning success
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Provide guidance on the use of assistive devices and classroom accommodations
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners
