Qualifications & Experience:
- Certified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing, with current state credentials
- Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an educational or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology for hearing impairments
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to 4 students with hearing impairments, tailored to individual educational plans
- Consult and collaborate with school personnel to ensure accessibility and learning success
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Provide guidance on the use of assistive devices and classroom accommodations
