Key Qualifications:

  • Hold valid credentials as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Demonstrated experience providing direct and consultative services to students with hearing differences
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong skills in collaboration with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers
  • Familiarity with assistive listening technology and accessible instructional strategies
  • A passion for creating equitable educational opportunities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Assess auditory, language, and academic needs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Guide students in developing communication, self-advocacy, and social skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide education to staff on strategies for inclusion
  • Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
