Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

  • Experience delivering individualized instruction and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide direct and consultative teaching support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and/or small group settings
  • Assess student abilities, track progress, and tailor interventions to support individual goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to modify instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Guide students in developing self-advocacy skills and promoting independence
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional development opportunities
  • Serve as a resource to families and school staff for understanding hearing loss, communication options, and accommodations
