Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
  • Broad knowledge of deaf education practices and auditory/oral methodologies

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt strategies to various learning needs and classroom environments

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and track student progress
  • Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers
  • Advocate for students’ needs and foster a supportive, inclusive academic atmosphere
  • Participate in school meetings and ongoing professional development
