Key Qualifications:
- Hold valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
- Solid understanding of Deaf culture, audiological devices, and relevant instructional strategies
- Experience working with students across a range of ages and proficiency levels
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, interpreters, and family members
- Proficient in individualized educational plan (IEP) development and implementation
- Thoughtful communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexible, adaptive approach to changing student needs and caseload specifics
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction, support, and advocacy to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within school environments
- Assess students’ unique needs, develop effective learning plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals
