Key Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar role in a school setting
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Deep understanding of differentiated instruction, IEPs, and accessibility accommodations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting lessons to meet their individual needs
• Utilize ASL and/or other communication methods appropriate for each student
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and support staff to promote an inclusive classroom culture
