With a schedule of 20 hours per week, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators in a flexible setting that values your specialized knowledge.

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting lessons for individual needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify curriculum and enhance accessibility
  • Advocate for inclusive practices while consulting with school personnel and families
  • Use your knowledge of assistive technology, sign language, and auditory/oral approaches to maximize student participation
  • Travel between school sites to deliver high-quality itinerant services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP development
  • Communicate progress and strategies effectively with parents and interdisciplinary teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid state licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Experience supporting K-12 students within a school-based or itinerant setting
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
  • If you’re seeking a full-time schedule, qualified candidates with Special Education licensure may be considered for a blended role, combining DHH and Special Education responsibilities
