Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Kernersville, NC

Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as an itinerant educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing instruction. With a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week, you’ll work alongside dedicated teams to help students thrive academically and socially.

You’ll travel between school sites, consulting and collaborating with school staff to develop and deliver customized interventions and accessible curriculum. If you’re a licensed educator also interested in a full-time schedule, there may be opportunities to expand your role into special education.

Key Qualifications:

• State certification/license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with K-12 populations in school environments
• Strong knowledge of auditory/oral, total communication, and sign language approaches
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Adaptability and resourcefulness for itinerant (traveling between schools) assignments
• Special education credentials are a plus, especially if seeking a full-time opportunity

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across K-12 settings
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and track student progress
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers, staff, and families
