DHH Teacher | Laramie, Wyoming

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification with specialization in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaborative and communication skills with staff, parents, and students
• Familiarity with assistive listening devices and relevant instructional technologies
• Experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds and ability levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and adapt instruction to meet the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grade levels
• Assess student progress and make data-informed decisions for individualized programming
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related services providers, and families
• Advocate for and facilitate accommodations, modifications, and accessible learning environments
• Provide consultative services to staff and support broader school initiatives around inclusivity
• Keep detailed records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
