Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work across multiple school locations and provide essential educational services to K-12 learners. You’ll play a vital role in shaping inclusive classroom environments and empowering students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education
  • Experience working with K-12 students in educational or related settings preferred
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modes used by DHH students
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualized educational plans (IEPs) and monitor progress
  • Passion for fostering accessible and engaging learning experiences

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Deliver direct and consultative instruction to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing in multiple school environments
  • Collaborate with other educators and specialists to modify curriculum and classroom activities for accessibility
  • Conduct assessments to determine student needs and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Provide support and professional development to classroom teachers and staff regarding best practices for DHH inclusion
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
  • Communicate progress and challenges with families and educational teams
