  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Knowledge of assistive hearing technologies and related instructional strategies
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom communities

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with general education and special education teams to meet student needs
  • Deliver direct instruction and modify curriculum for students with hearing loss
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support classroom teachers with resources and strategies for deaf/hard of hearing students
  • Facilitate communication between school staff, families, and related service providers
  • Provide guidance and professional development for school personnel
  • Promote self-advocacy and confidence in students
