In this position, you will:

  • Deliver tailored instructional services and accommodations consistent with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • Create, implement, and monitor measurable goals and objectives for hearing-impaired learners, ensuring growth and academic success
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster an inclusive environment and maximize student potential
  • Employ and support various hearing technologies such as FM/DM systems, AAC devices, and cochlear implants
  • Adapt materials and learning activities to meet diverse communication needs, using American Sign Language as appropriate

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Active Pennsylvania Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification (PK–12)
  • Previous experience teaching deaf or hard of hearing students in a school setting
  • Proficiency or familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Background knowledge of hearing technologies and how to integrate them into classroom learning
