DHH Teacher | Litchfield, Illinois

Empower students across Bond, Fayette, and Montgomery counties as an itinerant Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) educator. This rewarding contract position begins in November and runs through the end of the school year, offering both part-time and full-time options to fit your schedule and career goals. Key Qualifications:

• Illinois teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or the ability to obtain one
• Demonstrated experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Strong knowledge of IEP process, accommodations, and assistive technology for DHH students
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Flexibility to travel between multiple campuses within Bond, Fayette, and Montgomery counties
• Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support for DHH students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Consult with general education staff and specialists to promote accessibility and inclusion
• Adapt classroom materials and instruction to meet students’ unique communication needs
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to families and school personnel
• Assess and monitor student progress, making data-driven recommendations for services and accommodations
• Remain current on best practices and legal requirements in special education for DHH students
