This part-time contract opportunity, situated near Lowell, MA, spans the entire 2026-2027 school year and offers a chance to provide specialized instruction in a supportive academic environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and alternative communication methods
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support services to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students from PreK through age 22
  • Develop and implement lessons that address language, communication, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessment of student needs
  • Offer guidance and recommendations regarding classroom adaptations, modifications, and use of technology
  • Support the development of self-advocacy and social skills for students

Role Details:

  • Contracted, W-2 hourly position
  • Part-time: 16-18 hours per week
  • 2026-2027 academic year
