You’ll partner with the district’s full-time Teacher of the Deaf, helping to manage a growing caseload and ensuring individualized attention for students across various age groups and schools—assignments can be tailored to your interests and experience.
Your input will be central in shaping your responsibilities, as you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your preferred caseload directly with district staff. Whether you thrive working with younger students, older learners, or a particular setting within the district, your expertise will be valued here.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) teaching certificate
- Proven experience in educational settings supporting Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and adjust your schedule as needed
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the district’s TOD to deliver specialized instruction, interventions, and consultation
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Adjust instructional approaches to meet individual student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, develop goals, and monitor progress
- Provide expertise in auditory/oral programs and/or sign language, as needed
