Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school environments
  • Proficiency in assessing and adapting curriculum to accommodate students’ auditory needs
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and students
  • Familiarity with assistive listening devices and technology is a plus
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and commitment to individualized instruction

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct instructional services to students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Develop and implement educational plans tailored to students’ unique abilities and learning styles
  • Adapt materials and teaching methods to enhance accessibility and engagement
  • Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation in adherence to school and state guidelines
  • Consult regularly with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to foster inclusive practices
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student success
  • Support the integration of assistive technology to promote communication and academic growth

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.00 to $47.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
