Your workday runs Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM CST, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while focusing your expertise on one high school student throughout the school year. The school year begins August 4, 2026, giving you plenty of time to prepare for a fresh start.

What you’ll bring:

• State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience supporting deaf or hard of hearing students at the high school level, preferably in an educational environment
• Ability to adapt curriculum and communication styles to meet individual student needs
• Strong commitment to fostering inclusion and building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for your student
• Collaborating with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure equitable access and participation in the classroom
• Utilizing specialized instructional techniques, including American Sign Language (ASL) where appropriate
• Providing academic, social, and emotional support to facilitate student growth and independence
• Maintaining timely documentation and consistent communication with families and staff
