Help shape the academic journey of students as a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for a contract position in a supportive high school environment. For the 2026-2027 school year, you'll play an instrumental role working closely with one high school student, providing personalized education and fostering an inclusive learning space where every voice is valued.

This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM Central Time, starting August 4, 2026. Your expertise will support academic growth and encourage social and emotional development for learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing—all within an engaging, in-person setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Previous experience teaching or supporting high school-aged students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or similar communication modalities
  • Strong commitment to individualized student success and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and service providers
  • Positive attitude and adaptive problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction aligned with the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Create a safe, accessible, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress; communicate updates with families and staff
  • Modify curriculum and materials as needed to meet unique learning needs
  • Advocate for student inclusion and participation in all aspects of school life
