A full-time opportunity is available for a passionate professional skilled in supporting children with hearing differences in a school-based setting. This contract assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a possibility of additional planning dates. The role involves providing services across several school sites, fostering inclusion, and helping students reach their highest potential.
Experience and qualifications sought:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH).
- Prior experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of current instructional methods, assistive technologies, and strategies for supporting students with hearing impairments.
- Familiarity with maintaining service logs and documentation, as daily reporting is required in this district.
- Flexibility and adaptability to serve a caseload that may span multiple campuses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging, individualized instruction to students with hearing loss.
- Collaborating with general education staff, families, and service providers to develop and implement effective educational plans.
- Maintaining thorough, accurate documentation of services for compliance and district reporting.
- Supporting students’ language, academic, and social development in varied educational environments.
- Participating in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities.
