Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
- Experience working with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Knowledge of assistive technology, auditory/oral and sign language communication approaches
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to create engaging, individualized lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within classroom or small group settings
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support student engagement and growth
- Collaborate with regular education teachers, parents, and related service providers to promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and the evaluation of student progress
- Advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and effective communication for all students
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and district policies
